Incomplete applications (i.e., missing recommendation forms, resumes, etc.) will not be considered. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure all materials have been successfully submitted. Applicants will receive a confirmation email upon receipt of their materials.

Students who fulfill the eligibility requirements, complete an application, and are selected for the program will be expected to carry themselves professionally and represent Texas Tech University and the Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources with the highest level of respect. Students are expected to maintain a 3.0 grade point average throughout the duration of this course and the rest of the MILE program.
The application process for the fourth cohort of the MILE Program will open in the fall of 2023. Students who meet the eligibility requirements can apply online. Completed applications will include the following:

To be considered for the program, students must submit a completed online application, their resume, and a cover letter. Applicants will receive an email upon receipt of their submitted application.

All recommendations will be kept confidential and will be used by the MILE Advisory Committee when evaluating applicants’ qualifications. Submission of a recommendation form by an applicant’s family member or by someone claiming to be someone else will result in the applicant being disqualified from consideration for the MILE Program.

Personal Recommendation – The recommender should be someone familiar with the student’s character, leadership potential, and professionalism.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure each form has been submitted on their behalf. Once the recommendation form has been successfully submitted and received, the recommender will receive a confirmation email.
